AI- Development of Health Information Management Systems for Zanzibar Health Services Fund (ZHSF) through Application of AI
Project Overview
This initiative aims to harness AI to transform health information management into a more efficient, intelligent, and patient-centered system for the Zanzibar Health Services Fund (ZHSF).
Zanzibar’s health system faces challenges in fragmented data, limited real-time insights, and inefficiencies in service delivery. Through this project, ARIFA will apply AI techniques such as machine learning, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation to improve data management and decision-making.
The project focuses on five pillars: integrated health data systems, real-time analytics, AI-assisted decision support, service delivery optimization, and secure digital health records. It will also build local capacity by engaging healthcare professionals and researchers in AI applications.
By integrating AI into health systems, the project aims to enhance efficiency, improve healthcare outcomes, and support data-driven policy and planning.
This initiative aligns with Tanzania’s Artificial Intelligence Strategy and global priorities on digital health and responsible AI.
